Hello friends and happy Friday! I hope you guys are doing well, and are keeping yourselves distracted from these crazy times.

For today’s blog post, I wanted to share with you all something my family and I have been working on for a few years-our new home.

Some of you already know of the news, but for those who don’t, let me explain. Ever since early 2019, my family and I have been constructing our new house in Washington Township, Michigan. We’ve been wanting to move ever since the early 2000’s, but due to the economic circumstances that were in that era, we had to put our plans on hold for a REALLY long time. After years of saving and searching for the perfect lot, my parents were finally able to build our new home.

We broke ground in September 2019, and have been building ever since. However, because our “very good” friend, "Miss Rona” (aka COVID-19), decided to make an appearance this year, construction had to be put on hold until June when the stay-at home-order was over.

Even though we’ve gone WAY PAST our move-in date, my family and I can proudly say that we will be able to move in a few weeks. In honor of this huge accomplishment, I wanted to give you all a little preview of the house. Once we’re settled in, I will publish a blog post that will give you guys a full tour of the new Caccamo residence.

Before I end this week’s blog post, I wanted to thank everyone, from our construction team to our friends and family, for your never-ending support of our dream home. This process was anything but easy for my parents, but because of your help and words of encouragement, we were able to push through. Thank you guys much for stopping by today and I’ll chat with you all next week. See ya! 😉

P.S.- If I don’t blog before and/or after the holiday, Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

-Love, Lexa
